What’s so traumatizing about the penis to make it stand out (no pun intended) as something we need to discriminate against transgender people in the name of not emotionally scarring our children? What about someone with a terrible facial deformity or severe burn damage? Little kids can get freaked out by that stuff, yet we don’t demand these people cover their faces in order to “protect the children”. You’re telling me seeing a penis in a changing room is more traumatizing than that? Why? What if they have a brother? Will they grow up emotionally damaged?

I already addressed this earlier in the thread. People who have PTSD are generally aware of their triggers and should avoid situations that might trigger them and we should do what we can to provide alternative accommodations, like private changing rooms, they can use optionally if they want to. We don’t cancel 4th of July fireworks despite the fact that it can be a trigger for people who have been in war.
