Since the swamp does not like Trump putting tariffs on products from countries which put large tariffs on our goods, I’d like to know what solutions the rest of DC is suggesting to open those markets and make them more fair?

That’s not a solution…It’s a question.
Its implied as a statement. Negociate trade deals with lower tariffs on both sides, win-win (well save for the special interests that benefit from them so they can charge higher prices.)

A free trade deal? Yes, that is literally the solution to trade barriers.
Well rather than starting a trade war where boots on the ground are very likely to follow, you negociate with a large market that the other can join with a more level playing field i imagine.
