It is called “United States” not, “United Everybody Ruled by Washington” for a reason.

The diseases they faced were much worse than Covid for one. Small pox had a thirty percent mortality rate for instance. And those mandated vaccines were mandated by states, not the federal government. Oh and they didn’t force people who had already had the targeted disease to get them.

That’s a valid point.

Case in point:

I do believe a friend had to be vaccinated to board a flight to visit his native Egypt. Have never liked the company his native born wife kept.

These individuals are in their 60s btw, where death rates spike (starts in the 50s, but that’s another story). Trashy friend (the same friend who blurted out an insult about “white American families adopting Asian girls) didn’t believe in getting vaccinated & has since contracted COVID 19.

His wife unfortunately grew up with this individual, so maintained the friendship. Guess who got the virus next?

So this man, who just returned, at least temporarily has separate living arrangements. Maybe it’s better to just get the two vaccines. Even if someone still contracts the virus, they seem to not get as sick, nor to have as poor outcomes.

If they don’t already, they will … if they survive, that is.

The vast majority of them will absolutely survive the worst common cold in modern history. lol

That’s all well and good … IF you survive without permanent effects (like needing a lung transplant.) Statistics are meaningless if you are one of the few. In fact, that reality is one of the reasons some people refuse to get vaccinated.

If we’re going to be pessimistic, then we’ll just if ourselves into oblivion thinking about the scary ifs.

Not my style though. :man_shrugging:

Me neither … that’s why I got vaccinated, so I don’t have to be particularly concerned about it.

Awesome, you’re safe now! I encourage everyone to make similar personal choices to maintain a healthy body/immune system in the manner they see fit. :+1:

Personal support of something is not a prerequisite for arguing someone’s misinterpretation of it, correcting something false and/or arguing about the logistics of it.

Shooting down silly conspiracy theories is “adorable”?

I rarely get sick. I only missed two days of high school and two days of college to illness. I have only been bed ridden sick 3 or 4 times in the last 50 years. I believe I have an excellent immune system. But at my age, why take the chance when the solution to prevent a serious illness is handed out to me for free? There is nothing wrong with using both belt and suspenders to keep one’s pants up.

I support your right to make that choice.

6-8 months, seems closer to 6 for pfizer, maybe a tad longer for moderna

Sure it is.

no. what you are doing is pretending it’s practical to get tested every week

as though people are idiots

Pure dishonesty there.

He didn’t say anything false.

And your retort was nothing but the message of the mandate!

Come on, man!

What bothers me is, the hatefulness of some so-called “Conservatives” who resort to Leftist behavior (things like Doxxing, name-calling, “ruining” a person professionally, etc.) because a doctor doesn’t want to treat unvaxxed patients in their clinic, or on forums, if you do not agree with them that the vaccine is bad (not even skeptical, but made the decision that the vaccine is bad) you will get ousted.

I’ve noticed this on one particular forum, but I fear that this is becoming Conservative behavior across the board, not just online. Just the hatefulness of these people, yet so so incredibly stupid.

And I don’t have any positive feelings towards the mandate. But the way so-called Conservatives are reacting to anyone and everyone who is pro-vaxx is just disgusting.
