Now, everyone here is always talking about giving him his day in court first but I don’t know about this guy. I think he has to go.
I’m reminded of a line from The Professional:

I love that movie, even though it’s creepy as hell.

Gary Oldman’s performance was superb.
In general I tend to think violence against a perp does little other than make us feel good. When it comes to domestic violence or violence against children, let’s just say I wouldn’t hold a candle for the guy if it happened.
Oldman is definitely one of the most underrated actors.
Yeah, it may just make us feel good…but so what?
Not discounting the cathartic effect…just saying it doesn’t solve, and might well perpetuate the problem.
So he’s guilty?
