Firebrand Congresswoman Maxine Waters was under fire from fellow liberals Monday after she suddenly called for the public harassment of senior Trump aides, with top Democrats distancing themselves from the dangerous rhetoric.

Just hours after House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi slammed her “unacceptable” comments, senior Barack Obama advisor David Axelrod blasted Waters’ rhetoric; saying he “couldn’t disagree more with Maxine Waters.”

“Couldn’t disagree more with @MaxineWaters. Disgusted with this admin’s policies? Organize, donate, volunteer, VOTE! Rousting Cabinet members from restaurants is an empty and, ultimately, counter-productive gesture that won’t change a thing,” he tweeted.

Waters was one again thrust into the national headlines over the weekend when she launched into her bizarre rant, saying “Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”
