Just to clarify: are you sending the message that charged and detained are synonymous? I’m not a pre-law student, so all of this is new to me. I’m not trying to be self-righteous or arrogant at all.

The good tone after disaster release.

There has never been the same behaviors in our lifetimes.

To be more accurate only some of them can.

senator hawley just lost hi sbook deal with simon and shuster…

poor little snowflake is complaining about it

So Trumpy bear concedes, and denounces yesterday’s rioters, and that STILL isn’t good enough for you? C’mon.

I’m saying they’re not synonymous.

“Detained” means (essentailly) legally not allowed to leave. In other words, someone in jail is detained - but so is someone pulled over for speeding.

Detention can occur without an arrest, but an arrest cannot occur without detention.

“Charged” and “arraigned” are not exactly synonymous, but for the purposes of this conversation they’re the same.

In movies and TV shows, when the cops are questioning someone on the street, and that person asks “Am I free to leave?”, they’re basically asking if they’re being detained.

Ha, you told me you had me on ignore.

and Hell no. America isn’t one of his ex wives. There are consequences.

■■■■ him and his ■■■■■■■■ effort to save his reputation. No better than Graham or Cruz. ■■■■ them all.

If you are arrested you have been detained.

You may be detained without arrest.

If you are being charged you have already been detained and arrested.

Sore losers are bad enough, sore winners are just… . sad.

Sure there have when courthouses, state houses, schools etc were breached and sometimes even occupied.

The only difference is the location, the actors, and the level of partisan outrage.

You clearly do not understand what constitutes terrorism. You can’t just make this stuff up to suit your own biases.

Well you can and he does, it just doesn’t make it true.

What would have happened had the senators and congresspeople not been moved out in time?

You don’t know, and I don’t know.

Lindsey Graham is calling them terrorists and yesterday an insurrection

The last 20 years demonstrate once a republican calls something a terrorist it generally sticks pretty good

the wall street journal editorial page just called for trump to resign

It appears there has been a 5th death - a Capitol Police officer.

Impeachment is ludicrous unless they can prove that he ordered those people to break into the capitol building… The fact that the WSJ assumes he did without evidence speaks more about the WSJ.

What caused the officers death? Odd that CNN would state he died as a result of this but does not state the direct cause of death. They don’t know or they don’t want to say?
