I see that you are amazed. But I’m not “deflecting” I do not agree with you.

I don’t agree that the Supreme Court is obligated to hear cases, nor do I think the claims were strong.

In any event, this was not a discussion about the validity of their actions. This was a discussion about what I expect a constitutionalist to do next. And I maintain my expectation that they would pursue the matter via court and the ballot box… and not abandon constitutional processes or implement an insurrection to achieve redress.

As one who supports and defends our Constitution, and its legislative intent as stated during the framing and ratification debates, which gives context to its text, I am stumped to provide an effective remedy . . very much like our Founders were stumped prior to the Revolutionary War.

I am at a loss to identify a corrupted government which has willingly changed its ways.

And it appears a significant number of citizens [76 million] have been “aggravated”, some of which protested on Capitol Hill, a small number of which engaged in criminal activities. Had the Supreme Court fulfilled its duty and heard the Texas Case, examined the evidence and provided a solution, I suspect the tragedy which took places would never have occurred…

I agree that if their concerns were met they would not have protested.

If 76 million are aggravated to the degree that these protesters are you have a strong hand going forward.

It does not appear to me though that 76 million support deviating from legal and constitutional measures to pursue this issue, so I expect that the collective actions will be as I have discussed— using the ballot box to change their representatives. Ask representatives to change election laws and/our impeach judiciary members. Lobby fellow citizens to support these efforts.

We will get a better sense of the level of aggravation in 2022 when we see which representatives are voted in/out based on their record in this matter.

You want to know why I’m so happy about yesterday’s events? Because the leftists, after all they have done, and the level to which they have escalated this situation (riots, looting, arson, etc.), they need to understand that people with opposing beliefs are not objects to be forced into submission and controlled, but rather, other human beings with minds of their own, and most importantly, worthy of respect.

I’m sorry, @toreyj01 that you cannot see this. I thought maybe as a PA, you would have more compassion. But I guess I was wrong.

And if anyone else wants to dissociate from me because of this, go ahead. I don’t care at this point. I will not stand for violence against innocent people, and then playing the victim card when they retaliate. It just doesn’t work like that.
