Time to Ditch Mitch

He really is a piece of work. He’s taking money away from candidates who need it to defeat democrats and giving it to RINO Lisa Murkowski to defeat Republican conservatives. He really needs to go. At the very least if Kentucky just has to keep putting China Mitch through the primaries rather than much better candidates, take him out of his leadership position.

Every time he runs I hear his ads, he talks conservative, then when he gets it, heads back to DC to turn his back on us again.

He’s swampy & helps other swamp creatures over better folks.

FYI: He is helping Lisa Murkowski to back a democrat running against a republican as well.

She’s scummy & he is too. Sick of them both.

I couldn’t tell you why they keep nominating him. The Kentucky gop must need a smack upside the head.

I think he’s crooked when it comes to China as well.

It’s amazing how he is universally reviled, yet manages to stay in office (and as leader) year after year.

I don’t know what it is, but there must be something there.

I frankly cannot understand this irrational dislike of Mitch McConnell. He more than anybody else ensured that Trump got his massive number of Federal Judges approved and Trump’s agenda through the Senate.

I thank McConnell for his hard and dedicated work.

Getting Brandon a win on infrastructure after refusing to work with Trump on it in a bipartisan effort.

That win was ill timed and surged inflation as the Fern hollow bridge collapsed right in front of a Biden visit to brag.

Mitch and Brandon are Senate chameleons that take care of each other first. Have for 40 years.

The current GOP Platform

  1. Own da Libs
  2. Be loyal to Trump/Trumpism, whose platform is Point 1.

Mitch failed at the second one, you see.

That’s it right there. He won’t bend the knee to Trump so he has to go. Even though he’s been a very effective majority leader.

I guess you didn’t follow what was in the OP. :man_shrugging:

Most of us would love to get rid of him but no other Republican will run against him in the primary. At least nobody serious. The Democrats who have ran against him the last couple of times have been woke commies so he easily wins the state.

personally i’ve always found the vitriol against him from republicans odd. he’s done a good job keeping the senators in the gop focused. recognized when to hold the line and when it couldn’t be held. his loyalty to murkowski over party is a bit much and i do believe should not be rewarded with the leadership.

We all know he’s a slimy piece of crap who’s in bed with everything Dem. That’s why he’s still where he is.

And lets not forget that win on infrastructure also lead directly to fake inflation reduction act through budget reconciliation.

That’s all on Mitch…and few other senators.

Some of the replies here suggest that Mitch is a good senator because of his stellar politicking. And I agree that he’s a very effective politician.

The problem with governing via politics is that it often places party or self0interests (often one and the same) above what’s best for the nation.

In the case of McConnell’s use of Senate Leadership Funds, it’s to build (or keep) the GOP more compliant to his wishes. It undermines the voting process in individual states. It’s abuse of his power and position.

I agree. His funding of Murkowski is highly unethical.

Not a fan of Mitches wife Elaine Chao and her interest in GLOBAL shipping and ties to China and Taiwan.

Trump made a mistake in appointing her as Transport Sec.

Yup. Dems would loooove to have someone less capable that Mitch. He singlehandedly held up the Garland nomination and has overseen the enormous lurch to the right on the Supreme Court. One could say that abortion is illegal in many states now because of the turtle. Soon you will see affirmative action go too.

People are mad at him for all that?

I guess just because he won’t kiss the ring. Craziness.

Another thread to bookmark because if and when the Trump Wing of the party takes control of Congress, their majority leaders will do the exact same thing as Mitch did.

Control the purse strings to make sure people they like who are running for federal are elevated at the state level.

You don’t think such behavior is unethical.

You think it’s unethical when turned against candidates you like.
