I’m not sure you are for real.

On the chance you are, really, the massive debt you incurred was a waste. With that level of debt you should have been in a higher income level occupation. DID you not ever even consider the debt to income ratio? Good grief. Another thing, what did they teach you? Your grammar & spelling is so bad you don’t seem educated at a university level. It seems you know more about leftist talking points & propaganda than what you should have been educated with.

YOU made bad choices. I shouldn’t have to pay for YOUR mistakes. Your parents should have given you more advice, the school too!

As for socialism, no, it’s horrible, go to a socialist country for a few months & see what it’s like. It will open your eyes, unless you are a total brainwash.

I just watched to movie “The death of Stalin” Maybe you could take a look at it, also “The killing fields”, “Animal farm”, & a few documentaries on Che’, Pol Pot, Mao, Ho Chi Min, Venezuela, Cuba, & the horrendous socialist movements that occurred all over the African continent.

Socialism has created rivers of blood, mass poverty, mass enslavement, & propped up & created dictatorships all over the world. It has spread more misery & despair in the last 100 years than any other idea, including Nazism. It’s far exceeded the Nazis in mass death, murder, starvation, & enslavement. Estimates in Russia alone is as high as 50 million dead. China nearly as much. If you think you have it bad now, get socialism imposed & you will regret it with every fiber of your being, but by then it will likely be too late.

No thanks, Capitalism is imperfect, but it is the best system for the humanity ever, especially with Constitutional government.

Yeah…seems like I found lots of em in my earlier years, from cabinet makers to iron workers to framers and wielders to finish carpentry and some stone/masonry working.

And two of my jobs were published…and an another was on local TV.

I’ve posted my work, my design here before on this very forum.

And I technically only had 8th grade education.

Now I only do very toughest jobs where highest skill level is required…that’s when I want to work. I just need jobs to putz around on to keep the body moving and my mind sharp. I’ll do that till the day I die.

Speaking of which I need to start on a bedroom set for my grand niece.

I feel your pain and want you to understand that it’s the time of your life. You’re at the ground floor…looking up and it’s intimidating. I went through the same process…just like we all do. That’s life.

First…there is no such thing as “free”. It must be paid. Are doctors and teachers going to work for free? No one is going to work for free. Capitalism allows you the opportunity to climb the economic ladder to where you desire to be. I look at it like an escalator…except…it’s going down and we are attempting to run up it. You’ll expend much more energy than the progress you’ll make. Again…that’s life and it’s the same for almost everybody.

Be smart…deny yourself of wants…spend money on only the things you need. How do you determine a need? Will you die if you don’t get it? I disagree with you about the Ramen noodles and the chicken soup…again…that’s a stage of life. It’s tough but…it also teaches you how to manage your money so that when your income increases, along with your savings, you’ll be mature about how to spend it.

I don’t know what profession you’ve chosen and I don’t know where you chose to live? I hear you speaking about how it’s not affordable and it makes me wonder about your plan? When did you consider these things? Just now…when you’re attempting to implement one? That’s poor planning my friend. Where are you now…where do you want to be…and what is your plan to get there? Plan your work and then work you plan.

What you’re asking for is doom and gloom for future generations and they will never then have the opportunities and possibilities you have right now. That’s selfish and narcissistic on your part. I don’t mean to be harsh but…you haven’t looked beyond next weeks paycheck and think you understand the big picture. Obviously by this OP, you don’t. You’re wanting the easy way, instead of paying the full price. Eat the Ramen, save your money, spend wisely and observe your slow, financial progress. It will happen and as it does, you’ll be the wiser for the experience that got you to where you are and be capable of handling yourself in that time.

Good luck. I wish you well on your life’s journey. Come back to Hannity Land anytime and let’s talk again. I’d love to hear about your financial progress and understand…I’ll never vote for Bernie. I want a financial opportunity for all…today…and tomorrow.

You mean like a class that is graded Pass/Fail, or are you thinking of Pass/NoRecord grading?

I went to a public college UC-Davis, cut as many corners as possible, tutored and lived way more frugal than most of my peers, and after five years because I didn’t take full loads every semester so I could tutor it still came out at $99,400. Tuition, room, books, food etc… It is just that expensive these days I don’t think people not in the system understand how ridiculous it has gotten just within the last ten years. I am looking into taking a night job as a waitress but the good restaurants that tip well are very competitive.

I have little choice as I have had zero luck finding a roommate to split rent with because it’s scary to move in with a person one doesn’t even know and the people I have met so far to interview I would have been terrified to live with. I would have been better off not attending college, but other socialist countries help more or completely pay for your tuition which is what Sanders and Warren are running on and it looks like Sanders might is on his way to winning he understands students are being crushed by student debt. I pray so hard he will win it would change everything to get out of this debt that will haunt me the rest of my life as well as keep me from ever being able to own my own property.

I actually tried, right out of High School I worked two years at a telecom company and couldn’t stand it then tried to join the army after my father told me about the G.I. bill but I was turned down because of two medical conditions, the first I knew I had but was hoping I could still get by was a knee surgeries due to an automobile accident and the other I didn’t even know I had until they tested me Meniere’s Syndrome :frowning: It’s to bad that would have really helped and I think I would have enjoyed it I was going to try and get into a human resource specialists position.

A free society and market demands knowing participation.

This poster failed to exercise better options and to learn anything about US government.

Victim of bad advise and poor decisions.

Voting for the commie Bernie won’t matter. His I’ll would exploit you even more.

Study up on Venezuela and read a primer on personal financial management.

You’re in California? If so, that explains a lot of the high expenses. Have you considered moving to a state that is much more affordable to live in?

I thought California was tuition free for residents.

So why doesn’t that apply to the rich?

But the choice is yours. If the tuition is too high, dont take the classes. The choice is yours. People should really look at college and university as an investment or Pay to Play, and nothing more. The cost and return on your wifes investment was take on 40k debt (Cost) and get 11.00 per hour in wages (Return). Well, golly gee wilakers, One could work at McDs and get 10 dollars an hour and have no debt. What do you think is the better plan? You folks in the younger generation dont think anything through, but you want to tell everyone else how to live.

And since they have to live with the mess you guys left them yes they do.

I graduated in late 80’s with around 80k in debt. So your 99k is not out of line from years past. But I do agree it is ridiculous. The military would take anybody with a heart beat the last 20 years. If one turns you down move over to next door.

Must have been nice
