Time to consider socialism with the failure of capitalism greed

Ah, govt spends money on things I don’t like=wealth redistribution.

Nope, sorry.

As I said you don’t understand the difference.

Try signing up for GI bill benefits without serving and see how far you get.

So soldiers don’t get paid?

Not nearly enough for the jobs they do which is why we have added such things as education benefits to attract and retain good soldiers.

The benefits are part of the total package of what you earn for serving.

Nope its wealth redistribution

.

Your only problem is that by definition it’s an earned benefit.

I’ve seen some pretty lazy and ignorant people from all walks of life and status. You’ve seriously never met a lazy/ignorant well off person from a rich family?

I have indeed. They don’t stay rich very long.

It doesn’t matter. Even if everyone made the perfect choices, you would still have people working minimum wage jobs in poverty. It’s structural. There’s only X amount of good jobs.

Again, wrong. Nepotism runs deep in many rich circles.

I’m sure ole Donny boy Jr works so much harder than landscapers and roofers in the middle of the summer.

I’ve watched a good many of the crash and burn. The families tend to only be willing to carry them so far.

I watched a guy that inherited fifty plus million in the mid eighties burn it all up and lose two great ranches in under ten years.

I’ve seen quite a few more crash and burn similarly…

People like Don Jr are what keep those roofers and landscapers employed.

Booooo, another retread… lol

Well, you of course miss the point. The point isn’t whether or not it’s happened.

It’s whether ir not your income is inherently a reflection of your smarts or work ethic.

It isn’t.

How you earn it and what you do with it is.

 goal post moved I see

But yes, I’m aware that rich people pay others to do the hard work for them. Don’t want to break a sweat now do they

Who works harder, the rich guy living off of dividends inherited from his grandpa, or the person working 40 hours a week landscaping at $13/hour and going to school part time?

But hey must be the rich guy cause he’s paying the other guy to mow right?

The only person who moved the goal posts was you.

You moved the bar from “lazy” to hard menial labor.

A guy who’s hustling in the office sixty or eighty hours a week is also working hard, it’s just different work requiring brain power rather than a strong back and a lot of sweat.

Typically in this world it’s the guys doing the most physical labor making the least because there’s an overabundance of low or no skilled laborers to do that work and far fewer people with the brain power to handle the rest.
