Three years after, Americans are more ok with events of January 6, 2021

No. They beat it like a dead horse for everything it was worth until people discovered the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze, without the media’s help.

The supporters are simply fine with Trump being UnAmerican Scum if it makes libs cry.

People on the internet with nothing better to do “cared” as far as the arguments online gave them energy.

Not a single damn person in the real world gave it a second thought, if they weren’t outright laughing about it from the start.

It’s funny watching people say that they didn’t care while simultaneously rage typing on their basement keyboard to respond to every Jan 6th thread

Still don’t understand the purpose of a message board, eh? It’s ok, little buddy. Now, run along and get mom to make you some more meatloaf.

I find that concerning.

I remember, before J6, suggestions that Trump may forcibly resist vacating the Whitehouse were met with

We don’t do that here

Now it’s not a big deal.

Why would I?

Anyone who cares about this country should be horrified that a man who tried to overturn the election that he knew he lost would still have substantial political support.

That so many people would support such UnAmerican scum should bother waaay more people.

It’s crazy that so many Americans can’t see in Trump what his own Vice President saw in him.

Jan 6 exposed Trump and MAGA for what they really are. And since the GOP sold their soul to Trump, they were stuck. A legitimate political party would have cut ties with that cancer years ago, but the GOP isn’t a party to be taken seriously anymore.

Most people vote with their pocketbook. Solve the cost of living problem and you’ll win the election.

Well…taken seriously, not literally.

I’ll be honest I never cared that much.

I was basically like “I see two groups of idiots. One group, the government, denied access to US citizens rights to their own house. The other is a bunch of rednecks who are being really really dumb for dumb reasons.”

That’s basically a Thursday in Jackson.

I see that… but really… does a a perception of a pocketbook issue supersede a foundational value of this country?

Does the myth that Trump is some incredible economic genius mean that we should ignore the fact that he is UnAmerican Scum?

Ahhh the I am rubber you are glue argument.

I sir… have been slain

I don’t know if most people consider Trump a genius; I suspect not. His favorability ranking is consistently in the gutter i.e. most people don’t like him.

I do know that cost of household items and gas affects an average American family way more than something that happened in Washington DC one day three years ago. And thus, it’s more likely to influence people’s choice at the ballot box.
