President Trump has reportedly narrowed his short list of potential Supreme Court nominees to just three people this week; setting the stage for his historic announcement that could come as early as Monday.
According to Fox News, the Commander-in-Chief has “completed the interview process” and has reduced his list of 25 people to just three nominees; with inside sources saying the possibilities have narrowed to Appeals Court Judges Brett Kavanaugh, Raymond Kethledge, and Amy Coney Barrett.
“Democrat-aligned groups are pressuring potential swing senators – especially moderate Republicans like Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski and Maine’s Susan Collins – to oppose Trump’s eventual nominee, arguing in part that landmark decisions like abortion-legalizing Roe v. Wade could be at risk,” write Fox News.
The President teased his potential pick on social media before the Fourth of July holiday, saying “I interviewed 4 very impressive people yesterday. On Monday I will be announcing my decision for Justice of the United States Supreme Court!”
