Some property burns and we’re willing to send federal thugs into a city to snatch people up. Willing to condemn, teargas, run horses through, beat with batons, crowds of peaceful people for the actions of a few.

But a health inspector politely asking for compliance with health rules requires a fainting couch.

Local BLM rallies are scorned, blamed, and held responsible for vandalism in whole different states, meanwhile these knuckleheads have direct responsibility for community spread that leads to deaths in their own neighborhood.

I was actually hoping for some understanding why myself, and others feel the way we do. We are not seeing the cases. My Sister in Law (Brothers wife) works at Ford hospital in downtown Detroit as a Respiratory Therapist. Even she thinks it is a scam. And politicians say we cant have thanksgiving. If the politicians hadnt used covid as a political tool from the beginning, perhaps half the country would be more supportive.

This to me is unbelievable (the views of your sister-in-law). I have a close friend from way back in fellowship who is a physician in Detroit. Detroit was one of the hardest hit areas in the country during the first wave. Henry Ford was not spared. If people think the accounts of my friend are anecdotal, then examine the statistics.

If she thinks COVID is a scam then to put it bluntly, I question her judgement. Yes, I don’t know her. No, I don’t know her thought process. However, I do know how many individuals, including health care workers, were infected and killed by COVID and the stress it put the Detroit heath care systems under and continues to do. To date, Wayne County has had nearly 60,000 cases and 3200 deaths. If someone thinks that is a “scam” they are wrong.
