A national referendum on what? Trans people?

Has any lib yet replied as to how to console the young lady who lost all her women’s records in a single weekend?

Her coach advised her to lose 40 lbs to be in a lower weight class so she has a chance again at her dreams. Nice. Screw the woman. See how that works- guys? SHE has to deal with her losses and SHE has to now figure out how to remain competitive. And this is A-OK to the many flaming masoginsts with their renewed energy

So you are ok with a young girl missing the cutoff for her college scholarship because of a biological male? And of course trans with penises get to share the girls locker room?

AFAIK whether or not trans females can compete as women is a state issue. There are officials like Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii on the other side who don’t support trans females competing as women, either.

So, this thread is taking place based on competitions that have a tiny number of trans participants in some states, and none are allowed in others.

If we’re talking strictly sporting events the U S, trans athletes won’t be going very far, much less taking over women’s sports.

Don’t care, rights should never be subject to a national referendum.

Actually in this case you have the roles reversed. Conservative are for males competing in male sports and females competing in female sports. LIBs are against that.

One is too many. Real lives are turned upside down by this lunacy.

“And of course trans with penises get to share the girls locker room?”

Here are statistics on bathroom assaults by strangers in general, the risk posed by trans individuals listed separately:

Now here is an area where trans or men self identifying as women may get more problematic:

This would not happen. Scholarships are individual rewards. Not team.

Again… if they meet the standards… they should be treat as a woman.

We absolutely need strict standards

So sorry for you, young lady, but a liberal body approved and enough social pressure to bend the entire women’s sports (including clearing out your records in one weekend) is happening, so loosing them will stand. And watch masoginists cheer! Over the next few years, as this unyielding group of activists grow in strength, we’ll see whole new arguments. The libs will line up to tell women that it was OK to dismantle what they fought for. Wait for it and listen to the hints they regularly let slip out. Every word they utter is anti-woman. This train’s already on the tracks now and men absolutely will not stop until they’ve finished taken back whatever they feel like taking back.

Actually that isn’t my argument at all. That is a strawman. A young girl shouldn’t have to share a locker room with boys and be forced to look at their penis. As a parent I would pull my girl out of that school rather than have her be subject to that embarrassment.

So we are back to the trans feelings. In order to accommodate those feelings we have to trample on everyone else’s. That is typical LIB lunacy.

Yep! But only the top performers get them. If a young girl misses that cutoff because of a biological male. Tough luck.

Very cold and callous.

Again a biological male will never be a woman and will always be physically superior. That is a fact.

So rather than strict standards, how about we recognize that biological fact and stop with the social engineering experiments?

I wonder if m to f and f to m trans athletes should have their own leagues, as m to f cannot compete as women in some states, & having their own leagues would end the controversy.

However, this individual makes some interesting points:

They point out that there is variation in trans individuals, which is a fair point. There’s an assumption that trans women automatically are taller, faster, stronger, & that isn’t always so.

There is variation among all human beings, whether or not they are athletic. As an example, I’m female & “5’3’ in my stocking feet.

While as a rule men top me in height, I encounter some who are literally on eye level with me, not much taller. A smaller number are not even my height.

There’s an assumption that all m to f trans will have a height, strength and ability over women, and while that’s generally true, it isn’t always.

Anyone remember any of those records set by Renee Richards, now quietly practicing as an ophthalmologist?

Now just who looks at another human beings’ genitalia in the locker room? Same sex or otherwise?

Sorry, but the bathroom and locker room arguments get weird.

The whole fuss about trans individuals gets pretty weird on both sides as they make up a very tiny minority of the human population.

Not even all top performers get scholarships. I top performing 4’11 woman will usually lose a top tier scholarship to a 5’8 with a similar skill set. What do you tell that girl?

Not all trans women are physically stronger than all cis women.

This thread is about a trans who has done exactly that.

To your point about the average person, you are right. I am an average male with no athletic ability. Even as a youngster. it was very likely most females I had occasion to meet could have wiped any athletic field with me.

But that isn’t really what we are talking about.

Athletically gifted people typically want to take advantage of their god given talents. While rare, it is very tragic when a gifted female athlete is prevented from achieving her dreams by a biological male who wants to be a woman. This is one of those cases were statistics be damn - and I’m in a position to know because I dealt with statistical data for a living.

This is very cut and dried.

Women compete in women’s sports and men compete in men’s sports.

Simple and very straightforward.

I do not see that here, on its face I agree and so have other “lib” posters here

But its the usual tactic of a complex issue, boiled down to talking points in order to spark a reaction.

This isn’t really a complex issue at all. Biological males will always be biological males, regardless of the shade of lipstick LIBs apply.

Same thing one would tell a teenager who didn’t get a music scholarship because they didn’t make the cut.

Whole lot different than telling a girl that she was beat out by a boy wanting to be a girl. The message to that girl is that LIB social engineering is very real and is more important than her skills or her feelings.

As a straight man, there are plenty of women who are physically stronger than I am. So what? Not remotely relevant to the topic.
