My job used to be such that I could listen an hour or two from both political views and then dig for primary sources. Now I pick and choose the stories that interest me and then go digging for coverage and primary sources. Knowing reporters have been replaced with commentators means not only am I getting bias in how things are reported, but what gets reported as well.
For example, when hundreds of trucking companies have shut down, liberal news sources lay the blame at President Trump’s feet, while a conservative site like Fox News simply reports it, but you have to know where to find it because negative financial news is not going to be front and center on Fox News. Die-hard Trumpists will scream fake news but the US Department of Labor reported the number of closings. Businesses that examine trends in the trucking industry and why trucking businesses open and shutdown report that is a variety of factors that have affected the industry, with the changes to the tax code and the trade war with China being part of a myriad of factors that have had a major impact on smaller trucking companies.
One’s news cannot simply come from what is watched on the networks.

I would probably give a cogent response to this if I saw the relevance of your post/link to what I posted.

Also, how do you put Hillary’s deplorable comment up against President Trump’s comment that Never Trumpers and Democrats are human scum? I have a guess but I would like your take.
