If only one or two children are having trouble with their masks, why would the teacher need to go to each child in the classroom??? And for those having trouble with their masks, why would they need to be lectured about the reasons for wearing the mask?

You don’t think the kids should understand why they are being required to wear a mask?

Should they be told why they are required to wash their hands after using the bathroom?

Or why they are required to have recess every day?

You are changing the subject. This has nothing to do with public safety education and everything to do with indoctrinating preschoolers regarding the merits of wearing a mask.

The masks are required for public safety.

Is it only applied to mask wearing?

There are devices for many of those things a child needs to learn in life. Tying ones shoe is not a controversial topic and is a necessary skill they need to learn; just like their ABC’s.

Mask wearing is a very controversial topic; not remotely similar in any way shape or form. A teacher’s opinion about mask wearing has no place in a preschool classroom.

Mask wearing is not a controversial topic. It is likely that there is a mask mandate at that school, hence all of the children wearing masks which shows that by the act of sending the children to that school the parents have zero problem with mask wearing.

Covering face holes during a pandemic of a respiratory illness is not controversial.

Replacing something that none of us enjoy… like I know of no one who likes wearing a mask… and adding the emotion of “I dont wanna” does not make it controversial.

Or … hear me out … in addition to assisting students whose mask might slip, or reminding them to put on their masks … one morning, the teacher leads a fun activity where the children learn a song about wearing masks.

Informing student about the solar system should be limited to parents choice. Some may want to include Pluto as a planet, others may not. It should be the parents choice.
