We demanded vengeance against those who killed 3000 of our fellow citizens.

Did the US make some mistakes? Of course. Nation building was a mistake.

But it was vital that those who were responsible were completely obliterated. Justice had to be served.

No one from Afghanistan or Iraq had anything to do with 9-11.

The AUMF was passed 3 just days after 9-11. We were still in mourning. Bad time to make big decisions.

20 years later…what did we gain by those actions?

Justice was never served, and 1000’s of more Americans died, or were permanently damaged.

I thought it was made clear those were not BLM riots, pillaging or arsons. BLM protests were always peaceful. It’s just that coincidentally rioting, pillaging and arson kept occurring on the periphery of peaceful BLM protests.

Biden is the unity President. He ran and was elected on being a uniter, not a divider. You can tell that in the respect he has shown for Republican governors who disagree with him on the best way to handle Covid. You can see that in the way he gives credit to the prior administration for setting up vaccine distribution while accepting the blame when things go wrong.
His speeches on national unity will certainly not ring hollow.

Actually, considering the recent hurried abandonment of American citizens to the Taliban and the loss of equipment to the Taliban, I don’t see how Biden can show his face on 9/11.
