This topic has probably been beat to death, but every time I see something like this it makes me sick to my stomach.
“The controversy didn’t start in French class, though; it started when the school allowed a male who identifies as a girl to compete on our girls’ volleyball team. When the male student entered our locker room, we were changing. Some of us didn’t have a shirt on; others of us were only in our underwear. Naturally, some of us were uncomfortable and asked the student to leave, but we were ignored.”
Fortunately, living in Texas, that is so far something that isn’t an issue. After the latest election, it is not likely to be an issue for a while…at least unless the federal government intervenes.
What I find to be sick about the story is that a biological male not only gets to be on the girls’ volleyball team, he also gets to go into the locker room of underage girls and see them naked. But what’s even more sick is that the LIB establishment seems to have no issue with that horrific picture.
That boy doesn’t need to be on the girls volleyball team in the first place. This is from a different story but…“The mainstream sports media continues to blur the lines between men’s and women’s athletics without much consideration for the potential dangers of having biologically-different athletes competing against each other…A North Carolina high school volleyball match last month highlighted the ugly side of this narrative when a trans-female, who is biologically male, spiked a ball so hard that it hit a female opponent in the face and bounced several feet back into the net. 2nd…What the hell is he doing in the girls locker room. If you read down in that story the girls were actually banned from their own locker room because they didn’t want to share it with this guy.
Enough already…Where are the voices speaking up for the rights of these young women?
The author of that OpEd is a 14 year old girl who’s rights have been violated by this guy. She’s a very smart young woman. At one point she writes this…“Shouldn’t every girl be taught to speak out to protect herself from situations where she hasn’t given consent — and be listened to by those in a position to help? If something feels off, trust your gut? Not at my high school. If you don’t comply with the school’s preferred gender identity policy, you’re the bad guy. For expressing true, commonsense, biological facts — boys and girls are different and must respect each other’s bodily privacy — I was punished…The school began an investigation into the comments I made in class and banned our entire girls’ volleyball team from using the girls’ locker room. The co-principals notified me that I was found guilty of harassment and bullying of “a student on the basis of the targeted student’s gender identity.” As punishment, school officials told me I must take part in a “restorative justice circle” with the equity coordinator, submit a “reflective essay,” and serve out-of-school suspension.” The school apparently dropped all that nonsense when she sued them.
