Officer stopped to check on what appeared to be a car having mechanical issues on the side of a road. Driver shot Wride through the back window of the pick up. Shot and wounded a second officer (again shot out the back window of the truck). The Driver Hijacked a car from a lady with a baby in the car (at gun point). Then got into a shot out with officers after the driver crashed the second car.

Or Josie Greathouse Fox. Deputy in the middle of the night pulled over a car that was suspected of involvement of a crime. As she got out of her patrol vehicle, a long rifle came out the window and a shot was fire killing her instantly.

In almost all circumstances, the individual officer will not be financially liable, the government agency under which they operate will have the liability.

IMO…if someone doesn’t comply, that is the first indication that the probability of a life threatening event has risen.

If I had the authority, they’d be either reprimanded and sent for additional schooling if I thought these officers could be retrained or fired for their conduct? There is NO QUESTION that an intervention is necessary.

If I had the authority I would fire the officer who threatened the life of a suspect after he complied, was cuffed and subdued.

No. He should be in jail for terroristic threats.

The point I was making was…I assumed you called out the CNN headline because you view them as a “Liberal outlet” that is anti police. The NY Post tends to be Conservative. So it wasnt just a Liberal outlet spinning the story…
