Didnt the guy say the door didnt work? And the woman said she was trying to but had her baby in her arms, or something to that affect?

Since hypothetically anyone could “pull a gun,” are police hypothetically justified in approaching every suspect with guns drawn?

Thief over a 1,000 important
Thief under a 1,000 not so important.

There were several times the video went blank and I can’t say whether that’s correct or not? It was very garbled. Either way, whether or not there was a good reason, it was the non-compliance that escalated the incident, even if she was justified. When there is a video of a cop pulling out his weapon, by far, in most cases, there was non-compliance that escalated the incident. There are also cases where the cop is rogue and should be prosecuted for murder but that doesn’t negate what I’m saying. When someone is not complying, the cop then has to wonder why and I’m sure they feel the probability of their life now being in danger, just went up and they react.

They’re usually well over 1000…hell couple nails guns, wormdrive, air compressor etc runs about 3 grand.

The video went blank because of the police yelling ■■■■ a billion times.

Unredacted videos are not hard to find.

There are reverse angle videos showing the male in question after complying, handcuffed and subdued being roughed up, screamed directly into his ear and threatened with being shot.

None of this is hard to find.

Incidents like this are exactly why cops fought against body cams.

■■■■ that police officer. This just supports those laws that allow retaliation against officers in limited circumstances.

Are you justifying their behavior?

You have no evidence of this.

This version doesn’t have any blank spots…

The officers did not know that any of the suspects had an outstanding warrant till AFTER the incident. Even then, the warrant was for DUI.

…cept my eyes are open and each time the incident is recorded, that was plainly evident.

Thank you. In the first 20 seconds, how many times did the officer request the individual to put their hands up? After each non-compliance, the tension rose and the officer felt threatened for his life. That said, the officers’ behavior both with the female and the male was unprofessional and should be reviewed by those in charge to render a decision whether they should continue wearing a badge. Also…let the courts decide if their should be a financial liability for their actions?

How many times did he say his hands are up? The cops arent listening… Thats like the “stop resisting” line they use while they are twisting someones arms into a pretzel…

Why would he fear for his life at this point?

LOL… I’m certain the incident will be reviewed but, tell us your opinion. Was this use of force justified?

In almost all circumstances, the individual officer will not be financially liable, the government agency under which they operate will have the liability.

This is quite normal and to be expected in these days. There is great fear among some of our boys in blue. At least nobody was killed this time.

IMO…if someone doesn’t comply, that is the first indication that the probability of a life threatening event has risen.

If I had the authority, they’d be either reprimanded and sent for additional schooling if I thought these officers could be retrained or fired for their conduct? There is NO QUESTION that an intervention is necessary.

They do that to be able to falsify their testimony later. To have a false rationalization. They are bad apples.

What are some of the reasons someone might not appear to comply?

Who would you reprimand or send for additional schooling? All the officers that responded?
