This is NOT ok libs. Stop looking like you're cheating

They are not really odd. They are par for the course and the only good thing about them is how few of the posters here actually agree with this garbage.

The more I think about this, the sillier it gets. Would people who were trying to vote illegally pull up in multiple vans and push their way to the front of the line?

Maybe they get privacy like you do?

Now they’re “foreign nationals”?

Maybe Trump is paying them to vote Maga?

GASP! Maybe they’re CUBANS!

We will see hundreds of these types of x posts over the next week.

They are meaningless because a) it is probably ■■■■■■■■ and b) there is no context.

You’re wrong.

And there is no national or official language in the US.

Don’t ever think you’re smarter or better because of english. Some of the most ignorant, bigoted people in the planet speak english fluently.

And anybody who speaks Spanish and even 10 words of english has you beat.

You made republicans look bad as a unit with this thread.

You feel illegals can’t speak english because they’re…illegal?

How many languages you speak?

How do you know?

Why would a Puerto Rican, who are US citizens, need to learn english?

You stay down there long enough, that’ll change.

  1. Not true.
  2. How would you know?

Oh man, I will miss one thing when the man’s gone. Trump just pulled up in a garbage truck after Biden’s comments.

You can’t out troll the troll king

The fact that only 20% of Americans speak two languages is pathetic. It is like 70 percent in South Korea and German.

People who speak two speak multiple languages are more successful in pretty much every metric. Not saying US should not have a national language but opposing teaching students other languages in elementary school just dumb.

my part 1

Story time. One of my uncles was crazy intelligent. During WWII he was an Army Intelligence Officer in China.and Germany After the war he eventually became a University Language Professor. He was an Italian immigrant, that was his native language and spoke English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese!
In High School I would seek his help learning French and would ask “Zio (Uncle) how did you manage to learn to speak so many languages? He would just say the Western European languages were easy having an Italian primary language and education but Russian and Chinese were hard. Freaking amazing.

When I was a kid, 10-12 years old, I became friends with a pair of kids my age, sons of a German friend of my parents, who grew up in Bonn.

Even at 10 years old, they were fluent in English, German and Brazilian Portugese.

Italian gives a leg up for the “Romance” languages, and English for Germanic langauges - but Russian and Chinese are entirely different, on a fundamental and structural level.

And yet when it comes to “dreamers” the assumption is this is the only country they know and they just wouldn’t fit in with their parents country of origin.

The dreamer situation is severely complicated and I’m not able to answer it.

There’s probably a middle ground somewhere with them but I’m not sure where it is.

That’s definitely not the “assumption” with “dreamers,” but also enirely irrelevant to the topic of this thread.
