The word “countries” threw me off. You should have said ■■■■■■■■■■■■ 
Personally: I understand that many people have legitimate reasons for coming to the U.S. Some might be seeking better healthcare, others may feel threatened by the drug cartels or other expoitation groups, including their own governments. Not everyone is being paid to come here.
However, I do think that the U.S should close their borders temporarily, until we can get COVID behind us. The U.S has to help their own citizens before it can give of itself to neighboring nations. In other words- if you can’t help yourself, how are you going to help someone else? I have some idioms for this, but idioms rarely do any good in a discussion of this type.
