A leading NBC News analyst chose an unlikely winner at the conclusion of Wednesday night’s first Democratic Debate; declaring Donald Trump the victor after ten candidates repeatedly failed to acknowledge the Commander-in-Chief by name.

“An NBC News analyst declared President Trump the winner of the first Democratic presidential debate of the 2020 election cycle,” reports Fox News. “Author and reporter Jonathan Allen expressed surprise that Trump emerged ‘largely unscathed’ as the field of 10 candidates mostly avoided direct attacks on him.”

“For long stretches, it seemed, they completely forgot about the man who has been at the center of pretty much every discussion among Democrats for the last two-plus years — the man they’re competing to take on next year. The obvious reason: The motivation to beat each other was, on this night, more urgent than defeating Trump — a life-or-death moment for some of their campaigns. Trump was the chief beneficiary of that dynamic,” Allen wrote.

Allen says the debate now allows the President to “exploit their divisions and position himself for re-election,” adding “he was one step closer to that after Wednesday’s debate.”

President Trump summed-up the entire debate in just one word Wednesday night: ‘Boring.’

“Mr. President, I respectfully disagree. To associate this crowd with BORING is an unfair attack on BORING people. BORING would be a step up!” posted Lindsey Graham on social media.

To associate this crowd with BORING is an unfair attack on BORING people.

The Commander-in-Chief posted his one-word summary of the debates on social media halfway through the evening.

BORING!

“Ten Democrats railed against a national economy and a Republican administration they argued exist only for the rich as presidential candidates debated onstage for the first time in the young 2020 season, embracing inequality as a defining theme in their fight to deny President Donald Trump a second term in office,” reports the Associated Press.

The candidates called for free-college, the cancellation of student debt, “decriminalizing” illegal border crossings, and more during the two-hour debate.

Immigration was the most discussed topic of the evening.

Senator Elizabeth Warren toured the Homestead Immigration Detention Center in Florida before the debate, where she complained about a lack of emergency border funding; ironically missing a pivotal vote on…emergency border funding.

“There are a lot of different ways that we get in the fight. And one of them is that you show up. I’m at the Homestead detention center today and I hope you’ll be watching,” posted Warren on social media.

Who is Jonathan Allen and why should we care what he thinks?
