He was a very shy man. Much as some of his work is criticized, even those who disliked him, yet continued to work with him, deny unequal treatment or racial/ethnic/religious slurs on his part.
He falsified his age to join the war effort & served the Red Cross as an ambulance driver. I think he’d be absolutely doing disgusted with the new new “artists”.
