They do work really well.

People should stop talking about things like the Provincetown cluster and misstate that it shows the vaccine doesn’t work when Provincetown shows the opposite, actually.

The message should be “if more people get vaxxed, we will get out of this stage where we all have to wear masks”.

The message should also be “as more of us get vaxxed, cases and hospitalizations will go down. It will also appear as if there are more breakthrough cases…don’t be alarmed…there actually aren’t more breakthrough cases”.

And make sure there’s plenty of sun on your deck as you’re grilling.

Seriously…if there was one mistake the government made, it was scaring people into staying indoors during the pandemic.

I made sure I got outside twice a day at least.

Having a dog helped.

Who said we have to wear them.

This is being poorly promoted. I see fear being promoted better.

You don’t if you want to take the risk and risk infecting others.

I wear them when required out of courtesy.

Should I wear this mask while swimming in the Gulf of Mexico?

By others, you mean the unvaccinated? Isn’t that risk kinda up to them?

No I meant indoors.

I was actually an early adopter of the idea that masks were silly outdoors.

I remember hiking in Rickett’s Glen back in early May 2020, and seeing hikers with masks on.

I told my family we didn’t need them, and had to constantly remind my slightly more risk averse daughter why they weren’t necessary outdoors.

Something they learned back during the Spanish Flu that many of us forgot…outdoors was a natural disinfectant.

Later on we saw with a successful MLB and NFL season, among other events, that outdoor spread of COVID was virtually non-existent.

I’m outside all the time, I switch my work from indoor finish/cabinetry etc to exterior work like custom decks and outdoor living spaces.

As I said before, biggest cause of spreading is living room.

People need to stop spreading disinformation as well.

They simply have to stop it.

We don’t.

there are anecdotes that suggest it. actual designed studies are inconclusive.

That’s not true at all. Summer in most areas is the busiest time of year.

again, I don’t really understand what you are arguing, other than complaining about people who mention how affective (effective?) the vax is…Yes, sure, treatments are great. But vaccinations are better. There is no evidence that D or Zn will prevent you from getting covid.

The vaccinations work. But by all means, persue anythig that is helpful. But the vaccinations have to be the bulwark of the effort

Again, look at NJ, MA, VT…the vaccines have brought deaths down to next to nothing in areas with strong vaccination rates.

There really isn’t anything else to say about them. Wether they are 70, 80, 90% affective against infection, they are doing great at lowering deaths.

If you have a peer reviewed study that says Zn and D will do the same, share it, and I’ll argue free pills for all with you. But I don’t think that exists.

if Covid had rates similar to VT…then they would have way less deaths. This isn’t hard to figure out…

With all that migration you would think the Gov. would want to push people to protect themselves - not just with vaccines - as you suggest, this shouldnt be one size fits all - but with masks and distancing as well.

Now do florida.

Biden lied and people died! He said he’d cure Covid on the debate stage.

How about stopping migration from the border then do Florida.
