There is Really No State Secrets

Why I believe that is all that our enemies have stolen from us. They have so much of our military equipment know how today it is going to be very dangerous for us all.

China has an unbelievable amount of submarines, including underwater base entrances so we don’t know when they come or go, and can’t keep count on them,

At the same time we have our guard down in so many ways. We don’t even have enough military equipment of our own. Not even enough ammo.

Don’t think our enemies may never attack us! The Chinese have several empty cities, big enough for millions of people. If they ever decided to attack us, yes, we could hurt them bad, but they have many nuclear shelters for their population, we have almost none.

They have more people to spare, 3 times more than we do. They could take us out and they would still have a large population they could move from the fallout shelters to the empty cities.

Their leaders don’t care about loss of life except their own, and they might decide it would be a win to do all that. They wouldn’t even have to bomb us to nearly destroy us. ONE nuke exploded in outer space over the center of the country would do it as it would send out an EMP that would take out our entire power grid, resulting in the death of 90% of our population and the remainder in dire poverty and living in the stone ages.

IF we really want to keep our secrets, we need to do a few things. One is disconnect some of our computers with the most important information on them from the internet, so they won’t be hacked. Our enemies at times only use hand written information they want guarded. We also need to stop politicians from accepting “donations” from foreigners, or their American representatives.

If we want to protect our power grid, we need to spend $50 billion dollars. That’s it, that’s the cost of preventing a possible loss of 90% of our population. Cheap for the normal spending of our military.

No body seems to want to do any of it.

PS: Another thingy: A lot of the “classified” information is not really to keep it from our enemies, it is to keep it from the citizens. It mostly gets stolen by our enemies. The politicians just don’t want us to know what they are doing. Much of it should never be classified. We aren’t children, we can handle knowing the dirty deeds our politicians are doing, and we will be better informed on election day.

How wrong you are on both counts. If you did your homework you would know that our submarine task force is much superior to that of China. And we are not even close to being out of ammunition. Look it up.

There was a general on national news just saying we are short on ammo and many other arms and equipment. I didn’t say China has superior subs.

we spend a large part of our GDP on the military.

We are running out of ammo in the context of…if China decided to invade Taiwan right now, and we wanted to defend against that.

But my guess is if that happened, the US would simply go into a war footing.

I mean that’s the big deal. Russia and Ukraine are fighting a WW II level conflict, but neither they nor the West have ramped up military production in any significant way.

Russia has absolutely ramped up military production. Just not anywhere near wwii levels.

There are state secrets. To keep the US citizenry from finding out about the money they are pissing away.

And not for a lack of trying.

They just don’t have the industrial output they had back in the Soviet era.

It’s 3.4%.

Still a very large total number, but nowhere near what it was during the Cold War when the percentage hovered between 7 to 10% of GDP.

Like the dozens of billions wasted on the Advanced Gun System (as well as 20 years of development time) for the Navy that was canceled because ammo ended up being 800,000 bucks per shell.

Or the Littoral Combat Ship program.

Or the trillions wasted on the welfare state because they refuse to reform it for efficiency.

Yes, seems most stuff iust classified to prevent the embarrassment of the intel agencies.

Like missing the 9/11 hijackers, lying about wmd’s and hiding biolabs. I’m sure most other intel agencies can get whatever they want. That’s probably why Hunter and Biden has so many classified docs hanging around there homes.

Yup, exactly!

That, but I believe much more.
