Natural law says that the biggest and strongest get to steal all your stuff and eat you.

Man made law sets up barriers preventing most of them from trying.

For pete’s sake, you said nature, not natural laws. They are not synonyms. We defy nature on the reg, you seem to be using the two terms interchangeably No, we do not defy natural laws, yes, we defy nature…

And again, if we choose to do so we can end all life on the planet including our own.

We do not defy nature. But your condescending attitude is noted.

Condescending, oh that’s rich. From someone who just posted this?

Please. And yes, we defy nature, otherwise I would have frozen to death last winter. Nature didn’t equip me for surviving in sub-zero temperatures. Not naturally at any rate. We use our brains, which while natural, sets us apart from other animals and allows us to defy nature, if not natural laws, again, the two terms are not synonyms.

Man has been fighting and denying nature since before ■■■■ Sapiens even existed.

We learned to use and create fire to cook our food and prevent death from hypothermia.

Absent those abilities most of humanity would have been wiped out millennia ago.

No. You use your knowledge of nature to help you survive difficult conditions. Good for you. You have defied nothing. In fact your use of nature has helped you survive.

So you have no clue about nature. As I suspected.

They’re making a left turn!!!

Again you have no clue. My MS is In Biology.

You appear to be in need of a definition of the term nature.

If nature took it’s course he would have frozen to death.

We learned to use and create fire to cook our food and prevent death from hypothermia.

Hmm. Did humans die of hypothermia before fire. As a stone age archaeologist, I’d like to be schooled in that hypothesis.

Of course they did particularly during hard winters and ice ages.

You’re just being completely ridiculous now.

Clearly, it had no impact.

Huh? Please explain your knowledge regarding human adaptation to ice ages.

Explain what exactly, That Humans freeze to death when temperatures drop low enough?

Seriously, that needs to be explained to you?

Large populations of early humans died of exposure during the Ice Ages, people die every year from hypothermia when they can’t create a heat source in freezing conditions.

Maybe he thinks stone age humans hibernated?

As for humans viability as a natural species, prior to the ice age there were fewer of our ancestors than there are guerilla’s today at one point. During the ice age we may well have been down to 600. So I think it’s safe to say many of them died of hypothermia. So it was a skin of our teeth kind of thing.

You’re right, man does not defy nature, but he learns to work with it. Man cannot control the weather, which is why trying to solve Climate Change is futile. Man cannot determine if a woman will get pregnant, or what the fate of that child will be, so that’s partially why abortion is wrong (playing God and interfering with the circle of life).

Often times, science explains the “how” of nature, while theology and philosophy can explain the “who” and the “why.” Only the truly ignorant believe that science contradicts religion or that religion contradicts science. Both are equally important.

I’m not at all convinced that there’s any thinking involved period.
