We all know people buy people so I an wondering if the election will come down to a simple popularity contest. I know all elections have a degree of this and definitely 2016 did but Biden is not exactly a dynamic leader and Trumps style just puts off too many people.

As far as the visionless GOP, I could not agree more. The late Rep. Don Young tried for more than thirty years to de-schedule Marijauna, but even when they had the majority of both Houses and the Whitehouse, his fellow Republicans refuse to go along with it.

I don’t think it’s fair to say the GOP is visionless. Conservatives absolutely love people who commit crimes as long as they’re middle aged reactionary white guys and talking about how they’d rather have a dictatorship than a democracy unless they’re in power and how they’re the only real Americans who deserve a voice in government.

Also desperately trying to stuff gays back in the closet, making trans people illegal, banning books that might make kids not agree with them, trying to pretend slavery was a net positive for people kept like cattle for centuries, and firing immigrants out of a cannon into the sun.

They believe in a lot of stuff, they’re just scared to say too much because they know everyone else would think they’re sociopathic monsters with no positive agenda, only plans to hurt anyone who doesn’t look and think like them and vote for them.
