Oh, I don’t keep up with them. I prefer to speak normal English. lol

Did you know that in Afghanistan, you don’t have to register your vehicle after you buy it? No property taxes either. It’s just yours for the simple act o buying it.

Roads all over the place too. :man_shrugging:

I heard that. In Colombia you can smoke weed in the street.

The US is a police state.

The answer is obvious you don’t fit the constructed bias in his head therefore your experiences are minimized and non important

Whose head?

The only one that matters (in their head)

Try talking to him instead of about him.

Your posts speak for themselves

Ah, you’re talking about me? Thanks.

And thanks for the compliment.

Don’t play coy, haha you welcome

Don’t titter behind your hand.

I’m not whining. and I won’t promise to not move to to Texas. We may be neighbors.

Is that a mandate?

I’m going to be the dissenting voice in the room. America is the greatest country in the world. Although, I would say that being the greatest is subjective. That is not the real issue. The honest answer is we are not living up to our potential. We could be so much better.

So, what is holding us back? @Eagle-Keeper touched on it. It’s the two party political system. It’s the fact that the minority party is never going to give the majority party a political win under any circumstances. We’ve let the CEC and media in general make us act as enemies. I don’t think that either party is trying to hurt the country. I think that both parties could find a ton of stuff we agree on versus stuff we don’t. This country used to do great things…now we just argue about the stupid.

We don’t move forward until the people stop this.

President Kennedy said, “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”. The Lord said, “to be first, you must be last”. Both of these two statements describe what it is, that makes us “great”. It’s putting the sake of your country and others before yourself. It’s selflessly giving your best efforts and helping all that you can along the way. What it isn’t, is not giving your best efforts and needing help due to this. One way is moving forward, while the other is moving backwards. Presently…there are so many that have not given their best efforts that the net result is, they are now an absolute drain on our country and “we” are moving backwards.

Single most damaging statement ever uttered by a US politician.

When he said “country”, he was actually saying “government”. I’m not here to serve government. The government exists to serve the people.

He may but what was perceived was…for the good of all.

Now what I’m observing is that due to many among us not giving their best efforts, “government” can redistribute what’s been accomplished and turn those in need into “need addicts” with government becoming the dealer.

Over time this has leaned to the left, evolved into progressivism, for the purpose of making those dependent, loyal voters to keep them in power, so that they and those sponsoring them, can make money illicitly along the way of their fraudulent, political careers.

Right. How’s that collectivism, nanny state, entitlement working out now, in hindsight?

What he was calling for was obedience. Collectivism.

I submit myself to my country, knowing I can break this chain at any time. It’s a voluntary act.

And now you live in a police state. You just think you can “break the chain”. You can’t.
