Many don’t know the difference even if it was labeled.

They intentionally mix the two. A couple of them have taken to calling their opinions “analysis”.
And they all trot out any dumbass with “former” as proof that their opinion is the “correct truth”.

True, just like many people don’t know that coffee is hot… this the label
Maybe they are, maybe they aren’t. But no matter what… they are feeding us what we want to eat. It’s up to us to discern what is or isn’t the complete picture
I won’t say it’s the total problem Sneaky. But this is a great post. I think it falls in a three/four, but I believe that the rest of the problem lies in we the people putting our blind faith into what media says.
My course of action is this…dont just watch and believe. Watch what is said and then seek the truthfulness of these statements.

That’s another good point. You could throw in ‘anonymous sources’ and ‘sources say’ into that mix.

I see and yes, from that angle…again…I agree. Damn I wish “we” would do that.

Love The Lord. Love your mate. Honor your marriage. Love and guide your children into adulthood. Love your country and attempt to give your very best efforts in all that you do.
IMO…the failure of males to do this…IS…the number one problem and root cause of so many other problems in our nation.

No they aren’t because they do not own the media. Now…they don’t own social media either. The problem is just exacerbating before all of our eyes.
Active vs passive consumption, yes. I also tend to avoid most domestic media (as much as possible) in favor of foreign sources. Yes, it has its own bias, but the rabid American partisanship is absent, and it reports from a more global perspective, i.e. like there’s a reality out there that doesn’t revolve around the States.
As to the OP question? I answered a 1 or 2. Yes, media can be a problem, but the bigger issue is the way we as a collective passively absorb it. That goes for both sides of the American partisan aisle.

Well tech it not free market because GOP and Dems like Clinton changed the rules allowing media to be consolidated into very very few owners. But I get your point.
No way are those media clowns our betters!
The problem is large groups of people in this country refuse to look into what they are fed by media sources, and there is a culture of ignorance celebration by some as well.
Think for yourself, and don’t be a parrot.

What about the outside influences like Globalist and China who rely on our economy to survive?
How big of an influence do they have on the media?
They have even more to lose with a Trump win.
