The United Nations Human Rights Council is now officially and perpetually China’s bitch.

Here is the vote for and against China’s draconian new security law for Hong Kong.

The vote was 53 in favor to 27 against.

Cuba introduced the resolution in support and lead others in support.

While you all have been talking about the latest scandal in politics, China has been extremely busy investing in the infrastructure and commerce of developing nations, particularly in Africa. They have been VERY busy in the Mideast and even in South America.

And all that investment is paying off. Countries that are obligated to China or depend on China for future projects are NOT going to anger China by voting against them.

One European nation, Belarus, voted with China.

China has just been playing the game FAR better than the United States since the 1990’s.

If a Democrat wins, there will actually be little difference than if Trump wins.

Chinese has been outplaying us and will continue to do so.

For all intents and purposes, they have engineered themselves a working majority in the United Nations General Assembly.

Chinese has endless “favors” to call in from the community of nations. The United States has precious few.

China has an overwhelming financial influence on many of these nations and our being on the council would have influenced the final result to an insignificant degree.

China is playing the financial investment game better than the United States, that is the bottom line.

The group that opposed China would do well to leave the UN and create their own Union of Free States to work together on encouraging and helping state leaders to put their own citizens’ interests and freedoms first, and to trade fairly with one another. They could require allegiance to a charter like the US bill of rights to join.

In the long term, more investment is needed to counter Chinese influence. In places like Vietnam, it has swung the country to the status of a United States ally. There are other places we have done well.

Propping up corrupt regimes that hijack so called aid doesn’t help the oppressed citizens. Why do so many want to get to the US from other countries that despise the US? Set an example of a new alliance that promotes freedom that works in competition to authoritarian rule, and require other nations forsake their authoritarianism to join. Co-dependent relationships don’t rescue the wounded. They enslave the wounded to their benefactors, as China has learned.

Geopolitical influence has nothing to do with where people want to live but the influence you are able to have on political structures beyond your boarders.

If we assume the axioms that all countries foreign policies are driven by their own objectives and human rights and ethics are a western indulgence, which is not to say they are inherently worthless, then China is winning.

It has just dissolved the one people, two systems guarantee in HK with absolutely no come back.
