The Ugly Face of Politics - Continued

Does he post here?

It wouldn’t surprise me a bit. But how is that relevant? OP has the vapors because a punk rocker punched someone, but was apparently fine with Donald’s repeated calls for violence against protesters at his rallies.

Everyday Dude. The OP is amazing

I was at nine inch nails a few years ago near the stage. Things started getting rough. I stopped the mosh pit at me. I decided I am getting to old for that sort of stuff.

I bolded why it’s relevant.

Heather Heyer would probably disagree with that statement, if she were here to speak her mind. Unfortunately she was run over by a Trump voter at the Unite the Right rally.

Someone getting beaten up at a punk show??? What is this world coming to?

I don’t think too many Trump supporters in this thread have ever been to a hardcore punk or metal show.

It’s part of the experience.

Maybe some folks complaining about this need to Google “extreme wall of death”

I neither stated nor implied anything of the kind. The OP clearly makes the following statement:

"DEMs simply can’t deal with any kind of dissent. Dissenters must be physically and verbally put down."

I’ve made my position very clear and it has nothing to do with whether or not those on the right are capable of committing violent acts. The OP and this thread is about shutting down opposing points of view.

What’s ironic is that in each of my previous discussions, we ended up on this same dead end road, discussing the same strawman argument that I never made. I find that to be interesting.

You are being generous. I’m betting if you polled all LIBs who have had anything to do with me they would claim the score is more like Liberals a bazillion and Peek 0.

What’s especially fun is listening to some here try to make an equivalence between a punk rocker and the president in terms of expected behavior.

Can you imagine peek finding himself at a gwar show?

I saw Gwar in Va Beach back in the late 80s. I think he’s have bigger problems at an Exodus or Overkill show. The moment the first notes of “The Toxic Waltz” rang out at Exodus, it would be curtains for him.

I’ve seen gwar like 5 times. Took my kid this summer. We roll weird in our house.

I love live music, particularly punk stuff. But I never got into the pit stuff. Too “bro” for my taste.

Not a huge Gwar fan (the one time a saw them a bunch of skinheads were stomping a Jewish kid so my friends and I jumped on the skins…ended up spending a night in jail…long story) but I’m a big metal/horror punk fan. Not a fan of the pit either. I’m teaching my 17 year old step so bass and guitar now and we’re big fans so I feel you.

Oh I’m all about the spectacle with gwar. My main jam is 80s/90s DC area stuff so I bet you’d be familiar with a lot of it.

Those were the golden days. If you ever went to the Bayou or Jaxx or Hammerjacks (along with a lot of other clubs like Coast to to Coast or 9:30) you might have seen my band, Wrathchild.

Way back the. I was probably just a starry eyed punk kid in NC mail ordering records from dischord. I’ve been to 9:30 a couple times in the late 90s though! And my current band did some shows with Government Issue a couple years ago before Stabb passed away.
