The U.N's gross suck up to Islam

Yes. The fact that you don’t know this is by design. You are conditioned to believe that Islam is the victim and Christians are the oppressor. Who did you think was the most persecuted religion?

Why do you ask?

I don’t know that because I haven’t seen evidence that it’s true. I have no idea what the most persecuted religion in the world is. I don’t think it’s possible to answer that question using “persecuted” as the defining factor. That word means different things to different people. Using factors like “committed acts of violence against” or “restrictions against” may be a better way to indicate and compare status.

Because you are saying things as if they are fact.

Since Open Doors only collects data on Christians, however, it does not support claims that establish a hierarchy of suffering between religious groups. The absence of comparative data on the persecution of other religious groups renders it impossible to compare their suffering.

In terms of the entire world, Christians tend to be the most oppressed religious group, followed by Buddhists.

In the US that doesn’t apply. So when I hear Americans trying to talk about Christians being oppressed in the US I just turn and laugh. Christians are oppressed in parts of Africa and the Muslim Middle East. Not America.

Now you’re just being dismissive of the Cubans.

I would say the Jews are the most persecuted with Christians a close 2nd.

Why do you say that? Jews have their own country now and places where Jews were formerly heavily persecuted at (places like post-48 Iraq and Yemen) saw all of their Jewish populations move to Israel in the early 1950s. Places like China are equal opportunity oppressors. It doesn’t matter if you’re Christian, Muslim, or Buddhist, they’re gonna oppress you for religious reasons. State atheism is the only supported form of faith expression there

I’d say in the modern era Christians are probably the single most oppressed religion who are actually oppressed because of the religion itself, followed by Buddhists. And they are mainly oppressed in Muslim societies or societies where Christians and Muslims are roughly equal in size and are actively fighting (much of sub-Saharan Africa is in that boat). OP is right about that.

A country that half the world would like to wipe off the map. Just because Jews are better at standing up for themselves doesn’t mean they aren’t persecuted.

Would like to and actually capable of are two very different things.

My point was that Jewish folks do have a safe home to head to now if the winds shift. Didn’t have that before 1948. Christians in say southern Nigeria don’t have that luxury. They’re stuck there unless someone takes them in on an asylum claim.

You forgot skimming funds.

I get what you’re saying, and Christians in Nigeria probably have it rough. But I’ll say again that just because Jews are better at defending themselves than they once were doesn’t mean that billions of people still don’t want them dead. Persecutions don’t have to be successful to be persecution.
