That’s just it. I have no expectations. Politically, Trump has evolved considerably over the intervening 4 years. That’s what makes this so exciting. I can’t even venture a guess as to what these next 4 years might have in store.

In his first term he had no Political experience.
He had to fight Pandemic, the Left AND the “Never-Trumpers”.
Plus he wanted to be by-partisan so he let into his cabinet losers who, same like the look-warm Republicans, turned on him.
Matis, Kelly, Barr etc.
Now…he has a dynamite cabinet appointees.
BUT…rest not my friend.
It is the matter of days where 'He is a racist ’ movement will form.
Well the wheels from that cart fell off already.
Mika Bizzarozinsky and Joe will get a booth,
followed by Maddow and others while some are already moving on onto other channels.

Mika has money but Joe depends only on his dust-covered guitar. There IS a bench for you in Venice Beach CA, Joe.
I just love it when poetic justice bites you in the behind. What…kissing Trump’s ring didn’t help???

Ill tell you what’s exciting to me:
I just decided that Biden stealing the election was actualy GOOD.
It gave people a clean comparison of two different Govs and forced them to “wake the F up” .
Thank you Biden.
Change was SO brutal that We The People had no other choice but to go for Trump again and regret giving Biden a time of the day.
They, We The People, sure paid through the nose for that one for 4 years.

How long did he last.
And it was only lately when Barr saw Trump had a chance to win that he said something nice about Trump.
Barr was even wishy-washy about DOJ going after Trump and couldn’t fully aknowledge that all those suits were a witchhunt.
I remmember Barr tippy-toeing carefuly and couldn’t commit one way or the other.
" Nobody is above the law" he’d say.

Why place a limit on things we can talk about. I find a lot of things suspect, even after being presented evidence to the contrary. It’s kind of what we do here.

Within context you would see that my comment was directed at a specific individual. With that individual, I believe we agree on a great many things. We do have strong disagreement on election fraud, and I was opining that it might be best to avoid that topic.

Obviously, everything is fair game in this thread.

When I look back at what transpired, all of the election fraud hoopla might not have been such a bad thing. Who knows what we would be getting in 2024 if Trump had gotten his second term. Now we get 4 more years of a much wiser Trump.

If a church requires you to donate x percent of your income to be in good standing, isn’t that the same as government requiring x percent in taxes?

I also don’t agree that if you voluntarily belong that it’s any less a collective. You are just choosing to be a part of it. Still works like a collective. Especially, if the people who have the least are getting the most help from the church.

I think I agree with this. I don’t think any collective is inherently evil. However, they do attract people who want power over others just like our government does. That’s where they become evil. Especially when they can convince people that they aren’t doing for the power which of course they all are.

The only one i know where tithing is required is Seventh Day Adventist. They call it encouragement but i was told by a member that it’s not. Could be all nonsense though and it could be voluntary

The difference is that with the church one can choose to walk away. Not so with the government.
