You do realize these boxes are monitored via camera 24 x 7, right? Meaning if what is described here happened, it would be caught on camera, then the local elections officials could contact the voters on the ballots dropped in the box during that time frame to determine if an approved person dropped their ballot in the mail. So, safeguards are already in place to deter from this scenario.

I happen to know my local county checks this feed each morning at opening, and then each time a collection is made from these boxes.
