Well, one thing about it - this makes Trump a historical president. He is now the only president in US history to be impeached twice.

Also this isn’t what irony is, not even common usage, let alone the literal definition.

It’s about making sure Trump is not a future President. But I will agree it sends a bit of a message to future Presidents - namely if you are going to act of fool, make sure you have the House.

LOL too funny.

He will also likely be the first disqualified for office as well, if I’m not mistaken.

Only if convicted in the senate. Do you think that will happen? I think there will be at most 10 republican senators who vote to convict
But I could be wrong.

You have no idea what I’m planing on…Jan 20th coming up pretty fast. :sunglasses:

And watch you guys try to claim his ideas.

LOL doubling down.

This place cracks me up.

Gufffawwwwwwwwwwww.

congress could probably block him from running even if not convicted by the senate. they would probably have to vote to declare him ineligible due to rebellion or insurrection

“No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”

So now that he has been impeached for a second time, will this make Trump more popular with Republicans?

Will Trump continue to be the head of the GOP?

Only if they can get a court to convict him of those charges, unlikely.

Why would Republicans care that democrats impeached him?

strange question
