I’d support the elimination of the 60 vote threshold because I find it more or a hindrance than anything else. The budget reconciliation process already goes around the issue, so it’s not that big of an issue when they want tax cuts.

I hope the Dems do well in 2020 myself because we need balance in our country. The REDMAP was extremely effective in 2010, and the country can not afford a repeat of that. I also think that a lot of the craziness you see out of Democrat constituencies is from that program’s success. People are not fans of zero representation when they continuously vote in majorities into the legislature. If I was a Democrat in Wisconsin, I would be pissed and resentful all the time.

Because their legislature does not listen to their concerns. I live in Michigan. Our Republicans have no concern for anyone other than their special interest groups.

And why should they, they’re not going to be voted out. The last election, they lost by five percent and they still won the election due to gerrymandering.

The same is true of the 3 states I mentioned. The way ranchers are treated in Oregon is another example.

They need to implement as independent redistricting commission outside of the legislature then.
