The rise of New Venezuela from the ashes of the DNC and the do nothings

Nah bruv

sensing some reluctance to discuss the issue hereā€¦

not surprised

wish you well

Not really any low carbon producers in significant number.

Youā€™re saying we should get excited over 6.6% renewables? (Hydro doesnā€™t count for much as too much more canā€™t be built and tends to be governmental anyway).

Put the government in charge and there will be zero.

Quebec government own their power companies they made massive profits.

Its not like the government doesnā€™t already control 90% of the power grind.

Ontario has both private and government owned power plants.

guess what we have the highest rates in Canada.

No, he did not. He called for expanding the TVA, not nationalizing already existing private power plants.

Well at least Bernie won the Iowa caucuses. Bernie is a free dimocracy candidate of choice running on his antisocialism idealogy. Power to the people.

@Samson_Corwell , I was aware of a Washington examiner opinion that "ā€¦ Sanders states in his plan that he would pay for his Green New Deal, in part, from the $6.4 trillion he expects to earn in revenue through the federal government-operated utilities that he expects will be generating ā€œgreenā€ power for all of us for the first 12 years of the plan. This revenue includes renewable power that would come online to replace the nationā€™s nuclear capacity, which Sanders wants to phase out, in addition to all fossil fuel sources of electricity. "

And, a CNN article whereas he urged it during his 1970s platform.

So you are saying Bernie is a reformed socialist. He and AOC are the most freedom loving politicians we know???

ā€¦butā€¦butā€¦those windmills? Ontario is so far ahead of the rest of the world. Just ask all of those responsible for all those efficient windmills. :sunglasses:

Those windmill are mostly a tax-write off and PR move by companies.
majority of power in Ontario is Nuclear.

That has an end result of your power being much more expensive with them, then had they never been installed. The windmills are another dumb ass government idea because the money they spent, didnā€™t come out of their own pockets.

ā€œNationalizationā€ is being used very loosely.

Well stop using it (nationalization) loosely if that is the problem.

What?

Oh, no doubt. I try, special emphasis on try there, not worrying too much about the words folks use on here. Itā€™s a real time saver.

Thatā€™s good advice. Iā€™ve been doing something like that, namely getting over people calling various things ā€œsocialistā€, ā€œbig governmentā€, and so on. I told one poster here that I no longer cared if he called things I support ā€œsocialistā€. He was confused and thought it sounded like me agreeing with the label but trying to deny itā€™s applicability.

Bad analogy.

You the one who brought up what you believe. I beg to differ.
