I have family in Southern Italy and they are not thrilled with her winning but apart from that they really have no opinion. To them She is just another politician in a long line of Italian politicians who say they know what’s best for the country and very little ever changes.

Migration, Energy costs, inflation, crime same as in Sweden but by a larger margin. I wouldn’t call her a fascist she might earn the title hard right her party is to the right of the league a bit. Salvini’s party they didn’t do so well.

I find her “support for the traditional family” while an “unmarried mother” hypocritical, but hey, she isn’t my circus or my monkeys. It remains to be seen how she can lead Italy.

She has very very leftist economic views
and
she is a strong supporter of God, country and family,
and
she seems to have a whacky conpiracy theory that says “financial speculators” and are behind the attempt to claim there are multple genders etc.

These are very much the views of the Italian facists and the German nazis. Take out “financial speculators” and insert “the elites” and they are the exact views of many here.

That anyone can, with a straight face look at here economic platform and call refer to her views as “right-wing” is stupid, and yet it happens.

It has been argued many times here that Hitler was a socialist.
He

called his party the National Socialist Workers Party
enacted Stalinesque Natonalitizing of nearly half of German industries
Blamed “the elites,” investment classes etc. for all of Germany’s economic problems

Mussolini did much the same except that he nationalized just under one-third of industry and bragged that having nationalized the banks he could control the other two thirds by micro-managing credit and investment.

Judging by rhetoric, Giorgia Meloni economic policies are likely to be the same.
Like Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Karl Marx, Mao, and Bernie Sanders she blames the rich and blames corporations for all economic problems.
