So then socialism is the answer??? Kind of what I’ve been seeing in the discussion thus far.

Yeah I cant say it makes sense. I realize that in my job I am just a number to them. Something happens to me today, my job would be filled tomorrow.

Overturning Citizens United is not socialism. Limiting or banning lobbying is not socialism. Making sure that someone who has only the clothes on their back has the equivalent amount of influence with politicians as the largest multinational corporations is not socialism.

“Socialism” has really changed as a word in my lifetime. I can’t really think of when word more pliable than it.

You are cherry picking individual snippets of the Marxist discussion that just took place. Mark my words, socialism was the order of the day.

Balance. How about that?

Marxism, where the means of production is owned by the government.

What do we call what we have now where our government is owned by the people exploiting the means of production through that same government? How is this better than Marxism exactly?

:point_up_2:

As much as I enjoyed the show, I have no intention of engaging you or anyone else in a Marxist discussion.

Corporations large enough to effectively be their own governments buying up everything around them. Nothing to worry about. Nothing to see here.

And this is why it will continue and nothing changes. Maybe one day you’ll wake up and take your fingers out of your ears and join the rest of us. Not today obviously, but someday.

I think the peons actually think they have influence over politicians.

Truth is they get one vote. Then the top 10% or the top 1% tell the politicians what the hell to do.

As in you Marxists? Seriously?

Of course. Even if Trump wasn’t a rich ■■■■■■■■■, he would never be allowed to represent us peons. His owners won’t allow it. He’s a distraction. Just like every other “leader” that was installed before him. We don’t have elections. We have appointments. How else did we end up with the two worst possible candidates going up against each other? Our elections aren’t rigged? Really? How many in Congress aren’t millionaires?

Jesse Ventura nailed it a few years ago when he said “you have to wonder about someone who spends millions and millions of dollars to land a job that pays just over six figures a year.” It’s not about the job. It’s about getting all the perks that come with getting the job. Perks us peons can’t afford, but their owners certainly can.

It’s also why I’m certain Trump got the same “talk” that every new politician gets upon entering office. “This is how the game really works and now you’ll play ball for us…or else.”

That’s why “Hope and Change” never came to fruition. It’s why Bush couldn’t back up “read my lips.” The game has been rigged all this time and they’re all a part of it. We’re just meant to think we still have a choice. We don’t.

I don’t remember ever advocating straight Marxism. You do seem to like your strawmen though.

You said join the rest of us. Who exactly would those people be? Certainly not anything resembling mainstream America.

Your fellow Americans. You know, the ones your party is at war with.

Soooooooooo basically America is really a Marxist country except for us Republicans? Got it.

We all are. Long overdue.

The commies in China care less about their workers than just about anybody. That’s a major advantage for them.
