When we watch the demographic changes over the last 30 years I see a few things
West coast- has become solid blue
Southwest - increasingly blue
Virginia- Increasingly purple lean blue
North Carolina, Georgia, Texas- increasingly purple
On the other side
Florida- increasingly red
Ohio,Indiana, Iowa- increasingly red
Rust Belt- increasingly purple
Is this due to migratory patterns, educational changes, common news sources, cultural differences amongst regions…all of it I’m guessing.
I would say it’s quite simpler. Real estate is way more expensive in blue states than in red states. This is about young people looking to find cheaper places to live so they can thrive.
You probably shouldn’t look at anything on youtube regarding lockdowns and mandatory vax, chock full of people saying, I used to be a democrat but never again. So we will see about that.
