Depends on the circumstances. I’m reminded of the story of the mafia boss whose son was killed in a shoot-out. The Don told the priest that he would give the church $100,000 if only he would day somewhere in the eulogy “Marco was a good man”. The priest agreed.
During the eulogy the priest said, " Marco was a drug-dealer, a murderer, a rapist, a thief, a scourge on society, but compared to his father Marco was a good man."
