It is refreshing.
Google’s AI (called “Gemini”) had a woke issue.

The team at Google did not make accusations, nor issue denials. Instead they publicly acknowledged the problem, paused part of their AI and have set about trying to fix it.

Kudos to google. Well done!

While we are on the topic Snapchat’s AI is also exceedingly left-wing, and unlike Google’s, it cannot be blamed on some ham-handed attempt at diversity in illustrations or whatever.

It includes left-wing-only explanations of COVID Hunter Biden’s laptop etc…
(In fairness, Snapchat’s AI is still in “Beta Testing” so this is a really really really bad sign of what will come when they release it, but it is not a “scam” per se.)

Best guess?
Snapchat was late starting into AI and had to hire all the whack jobs who got fired from the other AI firms. Meh, maybe something like that. (rolleyes)
