It looks like gas pumps can display prices over $10 if they drop the tenths of a cent. $10.00 is okay; $10.009 is not.

$10 per gallon? One Washington gas station reprograms pumps, but it's not...

It makes sense. It’s been many years since I read it, but I recall that when LA cracked down on smog producing sources, that it did such a good job cleaning up the air in that city that the average ambient day-time temperature went up several degrees.

Geoengineering isn’t that bad an idea, it’s relatively easy to inject light reflective particulates into the atmosphere and its not permanent so if you get it wrong its not catastrophic.

I haven’t contested any of that. Though as for “incompetent” that runs afoul of the they’re doing it intentionally aspect. Don’t give the scumbags credit as if they were merely incompetent.

As for the pain, well, sometimes things just suck for everybody. But that had nothing to do with my earlier post.

Retirement was, is and for the most part will remain a bad idea … it nominally translates into frittering away wealth that could be generationally stored up. I oppose it for much the same reason I flatly oppose any and all claims government makes to basically appoint itself a heir of citizens … or to be generous with other people’s means by taking from one to gift (or legally grift) to another just because they are here.

Have to totally disagree with you here. Been retired for nearly 10 years and have loved every minute of it!

Most folks can’t work till they die anyway though i have no idea why they would want to.
