For my part, they can keep the peace prize. It’s not worth anything IMO. When they gave it to Obama when he hadn’t been in office long enough to have done anything to earn it, that cheapened it. Prizes should be won. . . . they should be deserved. Peace means Peace. Trump should have won it his first term for the Abraham Accords.
People don’t have to be given a prize for us to recognize their worth.

Palestinians have showed openness to accepting a two-state solution at the 2000 Camp David Summit and also engaged in negotiations within the Oslo framework, but the specific proposal was rejected due to its perceived failure to meet core demands on TERRITORY not Jerusalem, and refugees. Not because it was a two state solution.
Their participation indicates willingness to accept a 2 state solution.
Hamas are evil but the real politick os that they survive in a weakened, political form rather than as an armed, governing force. Basically their political administrative structure continues in the same way the government that repalced Saddam Hussein kept bureacrats who were part of his regime just so the lights could stay on and tur country continues to function

Indeed. And as always in that part of the world, any ceasefire will be temporary. But Trump will still deserve some credit for stopping the current round of fighting, in my opinion.
