Indeed. Trump would claim to be for something, and then spent ZERO time lobbying the Congress, or building the relationships in Congress to accomplish anything.
The only time I ever really saw him fight for anything was the wall. Judging from the results of 20 miles of new and easily scalable wall built, it’s hard to tell.
Washington DC, all parties, needed a shake-up. For those paying attention we got a look at how things work when a machine runs things and when an actual person is in charge.
I sincerely hope all those who voted for the machine will be happy with the results. Thus far we see them putting up razor wire and calling in 25,000 troops to protect the 2,000 or so at the Inauguration. These troops have been insulted and treated abominably. Meanwhile, behavior in Seattle, Portland, Denver and other cities are not exactly Poster Children for the Left, as the Left calls for the Right to be hunted down.
These things take time, and I am more than willing to give this administration plenty of time. Let’s see how it plays out.

I’d prefer a party that actually stands for individual liberty and responsibility. I’d prefer a party that actually stands for economic freedom and against government involvement. I’d prefer a party that actually stands for sound money through a sane monetary policy. I’d prefer a party that actually stands against the forever wars and truthfully intends to end them. I’d prefer a party that actually stands for slashing the size and scope of government, not occasionally slowing the rate of growth, but gutting it and tossing it into a wood chipper.
