On a public forum in a public thread. Monologues are great in mirrors. But i get it saying things just to say them is fun for some. No need to actually discuss the substance of the assertion. Just say random things and shrug.

Isolating Hamas was a a stroke of foreign policy “genius.” It made them more desperate and played at least some part in the attack. Biden’s foreign policy didn’t help either. Releasing the money even temporarily through Qatar was an insanely stupid move.

See the thing is that - constantly speaking in glowing sentiment does little to understand the underlying issues.

I have said it before. There is almost no one here and that most def includes me who understands Israeli politics today. Plenty here understand war and strategy and even military policy/strategy (i do not claim to fall into this group like at all) but what’s missing is understanding what’s actually going on and why. I am not close to knowing. I am trying to learn but really there is no way to learn without being in the ground and immersed in it.

A lot of things are ignored so we are left with generalities like me deriding the Abraham accords without discussing the positives of those accords or you calling something anti semitic without realizing that disagreeing with Israel politics isn’t anti semitism.

We are missing something important or a lot of things.

I wonder how many will get to this part of my post after actually reading it fully.
