I have long said that we need immigration reform. We saw what happened when George W. tried to get Congress on board. And nothing has changed since. IMHO I don’t believe that our border security should be left to the POTUS. And certainly more steps need to be taken to help with half the problem which is illegal immigration not located at the southern border.

I have long said that we need immigration reform. We saw what happened when George W. tried to get Congress on board. And nothing has changed since. IMHO I don’t believe that our border security should be left to the POTUS. And certainly more steps need to be taken to help with half the problem which is illegal immigration not located at the southern border.

The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 under Reagan fixes everything but…it’s not enforced. Now ask yourself, why that is? If employers were prosecuted for hiring illegal immigrants, this problem would be solved…period.

Except the first guy didn’t really build a wall (and certainly not paid for by Mexico), and the second guy didn’t take down the little pieces of wall the first guy managed to put up using funds pilfered from the military. But other than that, the meme is right on point.

#1 He didn’t get his coast to coast boondoggle built, just small sections.

#2 He didn’t stop the - over half of illegal aliens - from entering the country? Why? Because they entered the country in ways other than the southern border like from Canada and flying into airports. Then they overstayed their legal entry.

The way to fix the illegal alien problem isn’t building a wall, it’s shutting off the reason they come here which are:

• People hire them to work,
• Jus Soli footholds,
• Access to public services (schools and social services).

Dry them up and they won’t come illegally. We will never solve the illegal alien problem with walls, we have to solve the reasons.
