AND…path to Citizenship would follow with Millions of new D voters.

And…more lawyers to process those citizenships/Amnestys.
More border agents to process them faster.
NOTHING would change except it would make what we have now legal and faster.

PLUS it was a few Democrats who helped kill that awfull and missleading bill.

I used to buy Yuban coffee for 7.99 a can.
Then 3 years ago it went up to 10.99,
Yesterday I saw it go up AGAIN to 12.99 and the same color can just SMALLER.
PRICES are NOT coming down. They’re still going up.
My auto insurance went up 100 plus % even tho I never had an accident, never DUI, no tickets in 45 years and have a 8 year old car, drive 3000 miles a year and live in a gated com.

This is not the way the bill worked. any number could cross on a daily basis and nothing was “triggered” until 8000 (discretionary), only if the average is over 5000 a day for 7 straight days could the border be shut down (discretionary) on the eighth day. If there was not an average of 5000 per day (each day) for 7 days te border could not be shut down (at all). So, every time less than 5000 crossed, the count would start again.

Monday 7999
Tuesday 7999
Wednesday 7999
Thursday 7999
Friday 7999
Saturday 7999
Sunday 4999 (begin again)

Nothing would ever trigger here that would allow the President to shut the border

Further, unaccompanied minors are not counted in the totals, nor are people from certain countries no matter how many cross. Nor are the people they fly in in the stupid “parole” program.

Notice that I said “apprehended” in my post. Those not apprehended aren’t counted, but the guarantee of 5000 (or 4000, as some say it was supposed to be) stands. However, it’s still unclear to me how they planned to shut the door when the turnstile reached that number.
