Normal? Nobody said it’s normal. It was entertaining. You probably got a tingle up your leg and felt weird afterwards. Then you realize it just might have swayed those that you thought your ilk had firmly persuaded to be Trump haters. And now you have to shed those closeted feelings. It’s not your fault.

Larger point is that it isn’t abnormal for political conventions to have unserious guests for entertainment purposes. Usually it is musicians though, but aren’t actors also regularly invited ?

My daughter and 10 year old grandson fly in from England on 08/01. Taking them to the Indiana State Fair. Nothing more American than a state fair LOL. Told my daughter to buy some camo shorts to blend in .

Never ever liked pro-wrestling. Like zero interest. But I loved the movie “The Wrestler” with Mickey Rourke.

Super authentic as it featured a lot of real wrestlers. And the guy who played the steroid dealer in the locker room actually got busted for … dealing steroids later.

Some of the greats, Hulk, Machoman, Rick Flair, and later The Rock and Stone Cold realized the ridiculousness of their characters and played into it. It was highly entertaining at the time.
